I am a young contemporary artist who’s recently rediscovered their spark in art again. I was faced with the blessing and torment of a sweet experience gone bad, causing a rapid decline in my mental health. This, in turn, fuelled my appetite for a creative awakening which has given me results and unintentional relief. I have always struggled with expressing the deeper emotions that we all have. Furthermore, bringing those emotions to the surface is a concept that, in some circumstances, can be faced with great difficulty.
I am the middle child of a large family consisting of 7 siblings, my single mum and two dogs. My family is one of the most important aspects in my life where I feel secure, redirected and comfortable. Art and creativity was something that ran in the family, mainly the girls, which is where the inspiration to work towards the visual arts industry started. Being surrounded by fellow artists who were also my siblings made the environment easy to practice and gain knowledge. I’ve been working as an aged care worker for all my working years and drawing on the side. My goal is for my art to become acknowledged, even if it’s a little bit.
