Deflowering A friend of mine asked me to make an illustration for her article about virginity myths. Female virginity since ancient times has huge cultural stigmatization. Some people still call the first sexual act of a woman 'deflowering'. IMO that's awkward.
I've tried to hide in this collage many references and meanings, so everyone can see her/his own ones. I will only give a little hint that allusions to three world-famous paintings are hidden here.

Behind the nickname Hazy Gazer is 26 y.o. Masha Zamelan, a self-trained graphic designer and visual artist from Ukraine. Masha is a graduate design engineer who used to work as a technical illustrator and be an active member of the local feminist community, while her alter-ego Hazy practiced in various visual arts mostly creating abstract digital textures and surreal collages using mixed media.

Frauhaus: Marianne Brandt Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus and the International Women's Day 2019 I've created a bunch of posters in honor of the women of the Bauhaus. This one refers to a shape of one the most known industrial design of Marianne Brandt — her timeless modernist teapot. Brandt was one of the few women of the Bauhaus who distanced herself from the fields considered more feminine such as weaving, preferring to work with metal and glass. Her unremitting efforts and design talent allowed her to become the deputy head of the metal workshop. Her personality along with her creations inspires me really hard. Due to such female design pioneers like Marianne today women can freely realize their creative potential in the male-dominated world of art.

But one day she decided completely to dedicate herself to the field of graphic and print design making posters, cards, book and album covers. She continues to experiment with collage aesthetics, strict geometric and typographic forms to improve her visual language and bring important social messages.

The End Is Near Once I read an article about some possible apocalyptic scenarios — from massive nuclear explosion to zombie attack, from alien invasion to enslavement by AI. It struck me what if not just a single one, but all of these theories are true, and the real doomsday must include all the factors. Robots make agreements with ET's about capturing the planet while people destroy their own kind in an atomic war not forgetting to snack with someone's radioactive brains... Yeah, sounds like crazy stuff but a good idea for poster design.
