Illustrator Chuchu Briquet

[ Boring Café ] The illustration explores the irony of being discontent in a seemingly perfect surrounding or lifestyle.

I am a freelance illustrator living in southern France. Originally from Taiwan, I went to study fashion design at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design in London during my 20s, then I worked as a fashion designer for the next 10 years until I relocated myself to France and pursued a new career in illustration in 2017.

[ Serenity ] Illustration series depicts women with their sense of tranquillity and comfort.

Most of my works are inspired by fashion and women, in particularly their emotions and strengths. I like to create a kind of romantic or dreamy ambience in my illustrations by using pastel or ethereal colours. I also like to mix different techniques such as hand drawn with digital, realistic and abstract to achieve a sense of contradictory.

[ Young & Talented – Jain ] This is a portrait illustration of one of my favourite young musicians.
