INSTINC20: 'lub-dub, lub-dub'

18 September 2024, Singapore– With a history traceable back to 2004, from a Chinatown

shophouse to an artist-run residency and art space, 2024 marks a milestone for INSTINC Space, or INSTINC, as they stand at the threshold of two decades since their genesis. Spanning from October to November, showcasing across Singapore and Taiwan, INSTINC invites 20 Singaporean and international artists who have been steadfast companions on this narrative of artistic expression to re-collaborate and commemorate their 20 years of achievements through the special exhibition — INSTINC20: ‘lub-dub, lub-dub’.

The narrative of INSTINC derived from passion, energy, coincidences and friendships. INSTINC was first established with the mission to encourage global collaboration and cultural exchange. Today, it has expanded from a platform where not only creativities intersect to a place where contemporary artists actively engage with the public through exhibitions and critical discourse. The INSTINC20: ‘lub-dub, lub-dub’ exhibition is a project that honours the past, embraces the present, and envisions the boundless possibilities of the future INSTINC will write.
