Bridget's work is deeply personal and emotional. She focuses on using the human figure, in an unconventional way to express raw emotion.
Bridget has been creating art her entire life. Over the years she has mostly focused on oil paintings of the human figure. She recently became a mother at the age of 40 and her entire world changed. She quickly realized that women are expected to be everything to everybody all the time, and they are expected to do this perfectly.
Her focus has now shifted from oil paintings to creating black and white pencil drawings of ‘Warrior Women’. These drawings represent power, emotion, and strength.
Her work is deeply personal, and it is her hope that any woman who gazes upon them feels seen, feels powerful and feels proud to be a woman.
Bridget lives in Ontario Canada. She is a mother, an artist and works as a Teacher of the Blind and partially sighted.
