Visual artist Jose Maria Renteria

Jose Maria Renteria is an American visual artist from west Texas. He worked in the hospitality industry for 20+ years, working his way up from dishwasher to Head Chef.

In 2000 he was nominated best young chefs in the Northeast under 27. Multiple injuries would retire Renteria from the professional kitchen at age 43. In 2018 Renteria would go back to school at age 47 and take every art class available at Hudson Valley Community College. Jose now focuses on abstract art and surreal landscapes. JMaRt can also build and stretch canvas to a custom size for a unique original painting. JMaRt also contributes 50% of all profits from original paintings to The Capital City Rescue Mission.
